Health& Safety

A safe, healthy school is the foundation for learning. Here's how we keep every Dolphin protected.

S

School Health Office

Our health office cares for students who feel unwell or are injured during the day. Please keep your emergency contact information current so we can reach you quickly.

M

Medication at School

Any medication given during the school day — including over-the-counter medicine — requires a completed DOE Medication Administration Form signed by your child’s doctor.

I

Immunizations

New York State requires all students to be up to date on immunizations to attend school. Please submit updated records to the Main Office.

W

When to Stay Home

Keep your child home if they have a fever, are vomiting, or are too sick to take part in the day. Students should be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning.

A

Allergy Awareness

We work to keep all students safe. Please inform the school of any allergies so we can plan appropriate accommodations together.

E

Emergency Drills

We regularly practice fire and safety drills so students and staff know exactly what to do and feel calm and prepared in any situation.

Visitor Policy

For everyone's safety, all visitors must sign in at the Main Office and present valid photo identification. We welcome our families — please make arrangements in advance and check in with the front desk on arrival. Questions? Call us at (718) 351-1225.
